Mercedes-Benz and Lexus Lead Women's Car-Buying Experiences

Annual report reveals Mercedes-Benz and Lexus top women's satisfaction in car purchases and dealership browsing experiences

Women-Drivers.com released its annual report on top car brands as rated by women, determined by purchasing and browsing experiences. The report revealed that women "influence and initiate up to 80 percent" of car buying transactions in the U.S., and women now make up more than half of all car purchases.

The site studied the purchasing experience, as well as the experience of browsing at a dealership. Each study based the Women Satisfaction Index (WSI) on a 5.0 scale.

Mercedes-Benz scored highest in both categories, leading purchasing experiences with a 4.89 score, and browing experience with a 4.59.

Lexus followed closely behind with a score of 4.83 in purchasing experience, and 4.17 in browsing experience.

The site officials stated: “These top brands ranked consistently high with women customers who were very satisfied with the engagement and treatment by the sales person, their overall dealership experience, as well as the financing process."

The site's president Anne Fleming said of the results, “It is a pretty straightforward equation — car manufacturers and dealerships that highly engage, respect and treat women well during the purchase process are placing themselves in an extraordinary position to get their future business.

“Clearly these dealerships are doing a great job with customer engagement at the point of sale,” she added.
