The new 2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 cars are greatly welcomed in Lubbock as talk about vehicle emissions gain greater attention across the country. For 2011, the E350 gains efficiency improvements with BlueTEC diesel technology from Mercedes-Benz, the company that invented the diesel-powered passenger car in the 1930s.
The Mercedes-Benz E350 is a 50-state diesel indicating it meets emission requirements in all 50 states in the U.S. Making this possible is the injection of AdBlue solution (urea) into the exhaust to cut harmful emissions by converting them into harmless nitrogen and water. As a result, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 with its 3.0-liter BlueTEC V6 engine, enjoys rich torque performance as it pulls in 210 hp at 3,800 rpm and 400 lb-ft of torque.
Every Mercedes-Benz E350 uses alternators and power steering pumps that kick in only when needed. This helps the engine expend more energy in fueling your E350 experience while gently fueling the Mercedes-Benz sedan. Many expect a clattering noise from a diesel engine, but it's almost non-existent in the E350. The BlueTEC version of the Mercedes-Benz E350 is 30 percent more fuel efficient over its gas-powered counterparts getting an estimated EPA of 22 mpg/city and 33 mpg/highway while regular E350 cars get 17 city and 24 highway.
The Mercedes-Benz E350 BlueTEC loves to cruise long-distance. So you can take a weekend trip to wherever place you want whether it's making the four hour trip from Dallas to Houston or 14 hours from Dallas to Denver. Supporting the handling in the E350 is seven-speed automatic transmission that can optimize its response for every driving condition.
The E350 has driver-adaptive programming that observes your driving style and modifies its shift points as needed. Furthermore, the two overdrive ratios increase fuel efficiency in the Mercedes-Benz car. Even with all the efficiency and focus on fuel and performance, the E350 acts and feels refined and luxurious inside out. Part of its elegance comes from the generous wood, chrome and leather trims and restrained styling.
Other available E-class cars include the gas-powered Mercedes-Benz E350 coupe, sedan and cabriolet. A Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC wagon offers an all-wheel drive experience. The Mercedes-Benz E550 sedan, coupe and cabriolet pick up their power from a 5.5-liter V8 engine. Seven-speed transmission appears in all Mercedes-Benz E-Class cars.
