The Pre-Owned 2009 and 2010 Jaguar XF Consumer Guide
Posted By: Jaguar Plano - 2011-04-25
The Jaguar XF sporty luxury sedan has only been around since 2008. Hard to believe the XF is only a few years old as the game changer unifies sports car styling and performance with the sophistication and space of a luxury sedan.
2009 Jaguar XF The 2009 Jaguar XF relishes being one of the more popular used Jaguar cars with its impressive quick-shifting 4.2L DOHC 32-valve V8 engine and six-speed automatic transmission. The personable XF's JaguarDrive rotary gear selector knob climbs to the surface with pulsating heart ready to go to the races.

XF 4.2 Luxury: The base XF model produces 300 horses with 310 pound-feet of torque. The Jaguar XF Luxury comes with park assist, keyless entry, bond-grain leather seating, 18-inch alloy wheels and a 320-watt, eight-speaker stereo as standard.
XF 4.2 Premium Luxury: Same as the XF Luxury plus more features such as GPS navigation, 19-inch wheels and three-stage heated front seats.
XF 4.2 Supercharged:Supercharged engine purrs with 420 horses riding on 20-inch wheels.
Borrowing from the best of past Jaguars, the rear-wheel-drive sedan turns everyone's head as it struts its '68 Jaguar XJ-inspired grille. The XF takes a page out of the XK's book with suspension design and fender-mounted side vents. Instead of reviving the past, the XF wears its retro accessories with its contemporary minimalist design in a seamless way like the perfect tie that lights up its suit.
2010 Jaguar XF
The 2010 Jaguar XF base model resembles the 2009 XF with its 4.2-liter V8 engine while its three other trims come with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine. Thanks to the use of more noise reduction materials, these quieter cats let the performance do the purring.

What the Critics Say about the Jaguar XF
The many reviews available online state the XF has charm and flair on the inside while the exterior reflects a sleek and contemporary presence.
"Make no styling judgments until you've seen the XF in person. Distinctive as it may look in photos, in the metal the XF radiates a modernity and sexiness that simply don't translate to the printed page." -- Motortrend 2009 Jaguar XF review
"On the surface, it's elegant and refined. Yet it also has 510 horsepower capable of tearing the tail loose at a twitch of the stability-control button." -- Car and Driver 2010 Jaguar XFR road test
"To avoid repeating ourselves, we won't rehash the rest of the carry-over goodness. But we will reiterate that the car is athletic and very obedient to inputs, and we still love the exceptional ride quality and the quick shifts delivered by the six-speed automatic, qualities that helped the XF get named to our 2009 10 Best Cars list." -- Car and Driver 2010 Jaguar XF Supercharged road test
"The XF's refined ride can take you 300 miles and deliver you still feeling fresh after your journey." -- Edmunds.com 2009 Jaguar XF review
"If the new XF is any indication, the historic British car company is combining sleek exterior design, innovative driver interfaces and strong performance with a luxurious interior. Yes, it's a whole new type of cat. And we like it." -- Popular Mechanics 2009 Jaguar XF review
"Driving a 510-hp Jag XFR on a dirt track is just wrong. So how come it feels so right?" -- Car and Driver 2010 Jaguar XFR road test
Certified Pre-Owned Program
Jaguar Select Edition, Jaguar's certified pre-owned program, doesn't consist of all used Jaguars. Only specific Jaguar models -- 2009 and 2010 XF included -- can qualify to undergo the certification process. As a result, you not only take comfort in knowing you picked a sleek and stylish Jaguar, but also one that comes with the benefits of certification.
To receive certification, a hand-selected pre-owned Jaguar must pass a thorough inspection process. Certified pre-owned also encompass a CARFAX vehicle history report, a six-year / 100-mile warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance for towing services, trip routing, flat tires, lock out, dead batteries and gas delivery.
Dallas / Fort Worth Jaguar Dealership
Those living in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex can find the 2009 and 2010 Jaguar XF at Park Place Jaguar Plano. The Jaguar Select Edition certified pre-owned program is available at the dealership. Park Place Jaguar relies on experienced buyers to hunt down for used Jaguars that look almost new.
The dealership's average turn time of fewer than 30 days indicates the high quality of the Dallas dealer's selection of used Jaguars. Contact the Park Place staff for answers to your questions about the terms and conditions of the certified pre-owned program or about the used Jaguar inventory that includes the XJ, XK and XF.
