Auto Dealership Group's Employees Put Company on The Dallas Morning News List
With more than 1,200 employees (known internally as members) at 11 luxury automobile dealerships in Dallas/Fort Worth, Park Place Dealerships was named one of The Dallas Morning News' Top 100 Places to Work 2010. Park Place was ranked number five on the list of 25 large companies, defined as companies with 500 employees or more. "This is a great testament to our members who work hard every day to provide the best car ownership experience for our clients," said Ken Schnitzer, chairman of Park Place Dealerships. "Our members take pride in the job they do and have set very high standards in their work environment."

More than 1,000 companies were nominated to the Top 100 Places to Work 2010 this year with more than 48,000 employees filling out surveys, a 69 percent increase from last year. Park Place Dealerships has one of the highest retention rates in the industry, leading to an experienced team of professionals handling every function of the car purchase and ownership experience. The organization provides a comprehensive, highly-specialized training plan for each position within Park Place as well as ongoing education and career path development. Park Place also features the most technologically advanced facilities in the country with all the latest tools and computerized diagnostic equipment to service the luxury vehicles. "We are continually seeking new talent to become a part of our team," said Sherry Miller, Vice President Human Resources at Park Place. "Experience in the automotive industry is not required. In fact, some of our most successful members had never worked in the auto industry before coming to Park Place. We look for candidates who show a commitment to excellence and we train them for success." The company is expanding operations and will open a new Mercedes-Benz dealership in Grapevine, a suburb of Fort Worth, in June 2011. A body shop will also open in 2011 adjacent to this dealership. Both facilities will create new job opportunities. In 2005, Park Place Lexus received the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The company is the only automobile dealership to ever receive this honor. The Baldrige Award is the only formal recognition of performance excellence given by the President of the United States. Founded in 1987 by Ken Schnitzer, Park Place Dealerships represents luxury brands including Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, smart, Porsche, Jaguar, Volvo, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, McLaren, Bugatti and Maserati.
