Additionally, it can recognize over 100 voice commands; provides a sharper, more colorful display; can map over eight million points of interest; and display information in English, French and Spanish.
Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound Audio System: With the Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound Audio System available, it's like hearing your favorite song for the first time. A Lexus exclusive, this system offers a class-leading 19 speakers and features an in-dash, single-feed, six-disc DVD/CD auto-changer. With 450 watts at less than 0.1% THD, 20–20,000 Hz, the power is undeniable. Audiophiles will be thrilled with the low-distortion sound quality that envelops passengers in the harmonic richness and dynamic musicality of a live concert.
Power Second- and Third-Row Seating: With the versatile seating configurations, you're prepared for just about any scenario, with room to fit eight people comfortably. And the power-slide second-row seat moves four inches to provide additional comfort.
For easy cargo loading, the second-row seat offers a 40/20/40-split seatback to fit a variety of items. Additionally, at the touch of a button, the 50/50-split third-row seat stows to the side in just seconds, providing ample room for cargo.
Four-Zone Climate Control: Occupy your own perfectly temperate zone, even if other passengers prefer it warmer or cooler. Individual settings allow the driver and front passenger to adjust their preferred temperature, while controls in the second row adjust settings for the rear passengers. With 28 vents, the cabin heats and cools quickly, while an air filter helps to remove allergens and dust.
The system also includes a smog sensor, which monitors the air outside. If the levels of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons reach a pre-set threshold, the recirculation mode is activated. Available climate-comfort front seats can be heated or cooled, with perforations that allow air to circulate, while second-row seats can also be heated.

Or, for an even more theater-like experience, the sound can be played through the vehicle's available Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound Audio System. A wireless remote is also included.
Lexus LX exterior colors: Mercury Metallic, Starfire Pearl, Golden Almond Metallic, Twilight Gray Metallic, Noble Spinel Mica and Black Onyx.
Intuitive Parking Assist: The available Intuitive Parking Assist feature of the
2011 Lexus LX 570 uses six ultrasonic sensors located on the front and rear of the vehicle to detect how close your vehicle is to surrounding objects. Distance is indicated on the navigation screen, as well as the instrument panel, accompanied by an audible warning tone. The closer the vehicle is to an object, the fewer lines appear on the display, and the more frequent the warning tone becomes.
Power Rear Door: With the rear door's clamshell design, it's easier than ever to load all your cargo. Buttons located in the vehicle's interior, as well as on the key fob, open and close the upper tailgate with just one touch. The lower tailgate can be manually raised and lowered, aiding cargo access.
Wide-view Front and Side Monitor: The Lexus LX is the first in its class to offer an available Wide-view Front and Side Monitor that helps enhance visibility when driving around corners and while parking. Operated at speeds less than 7.5 mph, a camera incorporated into the front grille of the LX helps you see around blind corners, such as when exiting a parking garage or when maneuvering around a tight corner. A second camera located underneath the passenger side-mirror provides a view of the ground next to the vehicle, which makes parking alongside a curb easier. Both views can be displayed simultaneously on the navigation screen when the system is activated.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control: While cruise control is standard on the LX, the available Dynamic Radar Cruise Control system automatically adjusts the throttle and applies the brakes as needed to maintain a pre-set following distance from the vehicle traveling in front of you. Once the system determines the lane is clear or traffic has sped up, it will return the 2011 Lexus LX to its pre-set speed.
Dual-swivel Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS): With the Dual-swivel Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) , at speeds above 6 mph, your headlamps turn to help illuminate curves ahead. Depending on steering input, the headlamps can rotate up to 9 degrees in a left turn and up to 4 degrees in a right turn.
During daylight hours, daytime running lights help make the
Lexus LX 570 more visible to oncoming motorists. Automatic headlamp washers can also be set to deploy when you use the front windshield wipers, removing dirt and debris, helping to ensure a clear view of the road ahead.
Backup Camera: Backing out of tight spaces is much easier with the backup camera. When the vehicle is placed in reverse, a tiny camera located above the rear license plate provides a view of what's behind, which is conveniently displayed in full color on the Navigation System screen.
Airbags: To help keep passengers safe, the
2011 Lexus LX 570 offers the most airbags in its class. The advanced airbag system (SRS) and knee airbags help protect the driver and front passenger. The front passenger's seat is equipped with an occupant sensor that prevents airbag deployment if the seat is unoccupied.
Seat-mounted side airbags (SRS) help protect the driver, front passenger and second-row outboard passengers in certain types of side impacts. Roll-sensing side curtain airbags (SRS) for the driver, front passenger and outboard occupants in the second and third rows can all be disconnected with a manual cutoff for off-road driving.
Comprehensive braking system: A specially designed Multi-terrain Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) works in conjunction with four-wheel ventilated disc brakes to help reduce stopping distance and aid the driver in maintaining directional control, even during hard braking. Multi-terrain ABS can help detect the type of surface the Lexus LX 570 is on and adjusts the ABS to help improve stopping distances.
Brake Assist helps provide increased brake pressure when the system detects an emergency stop. By monitoring how quickly and forcefully the brake pedal is pressed, Brake Assist helps compensate by automatically applying increased braking boost until the pedal is released. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) modulates the amount of brake force delivered to each wheel based on the driving condition.
Smart Stop Technology: For additional peace of mind, this safety feature is designed to automatically reduce engine power when the driver is pressing down the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time under certain conditions. When the brake pedal is released, the Smart Stop Technology disengages. The feature does not engage if the brake pedal is pressed before the accelerator.
Lexus Enform with Safety Connect: One button. That's all it takes to speak to a live response center agent, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You don't have to memorize any numbers, navigate through seemingly endless screens — or even have your cell phone with you
Looking for a particular destination? Simply press the Destination Assist button. Once you've decided on a location, your Lexus Enform agent can send turn-by-turn directions straight to your vehicle's Navigation System. Planning a trip? You also have the option of using eDestination to pre-select up to 200 destinations online and have them all sent to your vehicle.
But Lexus Enform with Safety Connect isn't just about finding your way. It's also about receiving emergency help at a moment's notice, whether that means assisting the police with locating your stolen vehicle using Stolen Vehicle Location or just sending Enhanced Roadside Assistance to your Lexus LX's location through its GPS signal. The Safety Connect service also features Automatic Collision Notification, which sends emergency assistance if the vehicle's airbags have been deployed or there is a rear-end collision.
Lexus Enform with Safety Connect are separate subscription services. A one-year trial subscription is included with new vehicle purchase. Navigation is needed for the use of Lexus Enform.
Safety Connect: Safety Connect means additional peace of mind — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the event of a severe rear-end collision or when the vehicle's airbags deploy, Automatic Collision Notification can send a request for help — even when you can't. And should you report your vehicle stolen, the Stolen Vehicle Location service can help the police recover it quicker once a stolen vehicle report is filed. Safety Connect also includes Enhanced Roadside Assistance, which allows you to get help for things like a flat tire with a simple press of the Emergency Assistance Button (SOS), which can also be used for other emergencies.
Safety Connect is a subscription service. A one-year trial subscription is included with new vehicle purchase.
Active Front Headrests: In certain low-speed rear-end collisions, active front headrests use the force of the occupant's body against the seatback to move the headrest diagonally upward instantaneously to help support the head, thereby helping to reduce the severity of a whiplash injury.
5.7-liter V8 engine: The
Lexus LX 570 features a remarkable 5.7-liter V8 engine, empowering you with 383 horsepower. The engine produces 403 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 RPM thanks in part to dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), which monitors the engine's speed and load, increasing torque at lower speeds for improved towing power, and boosts performance at higher speeds by adjusting intake and exhaust valve timing.
This engine features 32 valves and chain-driven Dual Overhead Camshafts (DOHC), leading to long-term durability and efficiency. An aluminum block keeps the engine lighter, helping to improve efficiency even further.
Full-time four-wheel drive (4WD) with TORSEN limited-slip center differential: A TORSEN torque-sensing limited-slip center differential allows the LX to efficiently distribute engine power between the front and rear axles. Combined with Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), this minimizes tire spin, helping you to drive in slippery conditions without losing traction. For maximum traction in off-road situations, the differential can be locked. Full-time 4WD powers all four wheels so the 2011 Lexus LX 570 is as capable off-road as on.
7,000-lb towing capacity: The power of a 5.7-liter V8 engine, working with the six-speed sequential-shift transmission, allows you to tow just about anything from boats to horse trailers. The engine gives you 90% of the 403 pound-feet of torque available at low RPM, which makes towing 7,000 pounds feel almost effortless.
Crawl control: Crawl Control is a remarkable feature that allows you to go places few other vehicles can. When activated at slow speeds, Crawl Control allows you to take your foot off the accelerator and brake pedal, allowing you to concentrate on steering over rough terrain.
When climbing steep slopes and rugged terrain, Crawl Control helps to maintain a slow, steady speed in difficult off-road conditions. In conjunction with Active Height Control (X-AHC) and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), the LX can raise an additional three inches to help prevent the vehicle from bottoming out over particularly rocky terrain. By maintaining low speeds, Crawl Control is designed to allow the driver to concentrate on steering, while regulating the engine output and brake application to help control vehicle speed and prevent wheel slippage.
Adaptive Variable Air Suspension (AVS): Rise to the challenge of virtually every road surface with the newly refined Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system with Active Height Control (X-AHC). This innovative suspension system helps to continuously maintain optimal vehicle posture, despite road conditions. Because each wheel automatically reacts to unique road surfaces, AVS adjusts quickly to changes in driving conditions, maintaining your selected level of comfort.
Active Height Control automatically adjusts the vehicle's ride height to help provide optimal vehicle performance, regardless of speed or terrain. To help improve aerodynamics at higher speeds, the Lexus lowers 2.4 inches in front and 1.6 inches in back. For increased traction in off-road situations, the system engages once the 4WD shifts into low range, raising the vehicle 2.0 inches in front and 2.4 inches in the rear for better ground clearance. This helps control roll and pitch for added security. When Crawl Control is enabled, the Lexus LX can be raised an additional three inches to prevent bottoming out in extremely rocky conditions.
When you reach the end of your drive, the vehicle automatically adjusts to its lowest position for easier entry and exit.
Hill-start assist control (HAC): Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) helps to increase driver confidence when ascending hills. While stopped on an incline, the vehicle may roll back once you step off the brake. HAC helps maintain the LX's position by applying the brakes to all four wheels until the vehicle begins moving forward.
